The City of Mackay is surrounded by hundreds of miles of roads and trails for exploring with Off Highway Vehicles.  For this reason, Mackay is known as the ATV Capitol of Idaho and the West.  Mackay is also surrounded by 12 of the highest mountain peaks in the State of Idaho.    And you can ride to these places right from the center of town.  The City has an Ordinance which allows driving of OHVs on any City Street.
