NO PARKING IN ALLEYS

The City of Mackay is posting City alleys with NO PARKING IN ALLEY signs to enforce a State of Idaho Code and City Ordinance #429.

Parking in the alley is deemed an infraction punishable with a fine of $50.00 plus Court Costs; making the total over $100.00 upon conviction.

SNOW REMOVAL REMINDER

The City of Mackay reminds its citizens not to put the snow from cleaning their private sidewalks and driveways into the City Streets, alleys or right-of-ways.

Citizens are also reminded that No items are to be on the City right-of-way and their vehicles parked on the City right-of-way must be a minimum of 5 feet from the edge of the maintained street surface to allow the snow plows to remove the snow from the entire street surface.  Parking in alleys is prohibited.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated not only by those who have to keep the City Streets cleared of snow, but by your neighbors as well.

Violators are subject to fines in accordance with City Ordinances 424 and 429

NEW RV PERMIT TO PARK FEES

The City Council passed Resolution 19-03 at the Regular City Council Meeting held 3-12-2019.  This Resolution raised the fee for a Permit to Park an owner owned recreational vehicle on their undeveloped city lot as follows:

     Summer Only Permit ------$250. 00 per summer

     Annual Permit -------------- $350.00 per year 

The Summer Only Permit is valid from May 1 to October 31.  RV must be removed from property November 1 through April 30 of each year.

Annual Permit is valid for 12 months from date of issue.  RV need not be removed.

Permits are to be renewed annually.

Current permits are vallid until they expire.

A copy of Resolution 19-03 may be obtained from the City Clerk during normal business hours.
